What to Expect When Attending a Board & Body Class
Board & Body classes offer an encouraging and welcoming atmosphere for all levels of fitness. Our format is set to upbeat music and moves at a moderate pace, with modifications and alternatives offered throughout. Participants must have the ability to sit, kneel and stand comfortably.
Note: Although life jackets are provided, wearing them is not required. Please do not attend any Board & Body class if you are not skilled in and around open water. No lifeguards are on duty.

The Board & Body Method™ does not require any active swimming or in-water exercises. We encourage participants to determine their own comfort level, particularly when it comes to balance challenges and standing positions that may lead to falling into the water. Modifications are provided for those who do not wish to stand. However, splashes occur and staying dry cannot be guaranteed.

Ideal attire includes yoga pants, bike shorts or lined running shorts that provide coverage for exercises that require legs in the air. Sports bras, tank tops, t-shirts, or long sleeved UPF shirts are all suitable options for tops. Please do NOT wear swimsuits without additional coverage. No socks or shoes required. Shoe storage will be provided during class.

Board & Body provides all necessary equipment including paddleboard, paddle, and life jackets, as well as any equipment props needed for class. A small dry bag will be provided for keys only. Please feel free to bring sunscreen, water bottles (no glass), hats, sunglasses, or your own dry bag for additional items. Please leave valuables at home.

No. Please register for class online ahead of time so that we may provide the appropriate equipment for each participant. All participants must sign a waiver in advance, via our online booking system.

Men are always welcome to join any of our classes! We also offer special experiences, perfect for couples and families. Children over the age of 13 are welcome to attend our regular classes with a parent or guardian, as long as the child is able to participate without causing disruption. Please leave pets at home.

Classes may occasionally be cancelled due to inclement weather. If this occurs, Board & Body will contact you with as much notice as possible via the information you provided upon booking, and we will offer an alternative class or refund. Please check our social media for weather updates as well.

Board & Body utilizes our paddleboards as fitness equipment that enhances core stability through balance challenges. The Board & Body Method™ does not include any active paddling other than what is required to navigate to and from our docking station.

We do not rent paddleboards.

Public park restrooms are available at our meeting location, However, please be advised that although we monitor cleanliness before and after classes, Board & Body does not own or maintain these restrooms and we cannot guarantee the operating conditions of public facilities.
